WORLD No. 1 shuttler Lee Chong Wei (pic) is getting married to former top women's singles player Wong Mew Choo in a grand ceremony expected to be held in Genting Highlands next year.
Chong Wei's father Lee Ah Chai told China Press that the duo were planning to settle down after 11 years of courtship.
Lee said they were likely to choose a suitable date for their big day after the London Olympics.
Interviewed at his home in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, Lee said 29-year-old Chong Wei, the youngest among four siblings, would be the last to settle down.
Chong Wei and Mew Choo, however, denied the report and refused to comment further.
Mew Choo, 28, is now a coach at the Bukit Jalil Sports School after she quit competitive badminton in April.
> A postman has resorted to shooting rubber bands at the dogs which bark at him.
The daily reported that resident Loh Bok Guan, 43, from Johor Baru, had found out about the postman's shocking action from closed-circuit television camera (CCTV) footage.
He said he noticed several rubber bands in front of his house about three months ago but did not think anything of it.
However, he decided to install a CCTV system when he noticed more and more rubber bands outside.
The latest footage was recorded last Tuesday at 11.08am and showed the postman shooting rubber bands at his two dogs.
Loh said both his dogs now had swollen and reddish eyes, and he would forward the footage to Pos Malaysia.
A spokesman from the Johor Baru post office promised to investigate.
