I relate to his charcater so much. He isn’t this typical ideal lead who is rich,perfect and successful. He is emotionally raw far from perfect who trying his best to achieve his dreams. I fell for him when he decided to go to the networking party to help dalmi on his own will when she was a complete stranger to him. He didn’t even cared if HJP would help him or not he simply jumped in to be by her side which shows how innocent,kind hearted and pure soul he is .He fell in love with her to begin with and accept it unlike HJP who denied it. I don’t get why HJP should be with dalmi? Really like I don’t get it. Dosan always wanted to tell the truth to dalmi but HJP never gave him a chance. Dosan liked dalmi to begin with and all of a sudden han jipyeong wanna have feelings for her lol. If he really liked her he should have said from the beginning. Later on as well he just stayed quiet until dalmi finds out herself. And still here dosan becomes victim. Dosan had nothing do with halmoni still he made noongil for her. Created dreams with dalmi stood by her side and kicked people’s ass who ever looked down on her and you guys still hate dosan lol. He took halmoni to the beach so that she could see something beautiful before going blind. He even defended her from injae’s step father,injae, even his best friends. Even after finding out the truth by dalmi he still respects her choice and makes her comfortable. This is the reason why she fell for present dosan. Even after their breakup dosan did the encoding all day,adding medicine identifications from dalmi’s ideas and not giving up noongil for halmoni’s sake. He even took part in the self driving depeartment in 2STO to make dalmi’s another dream come true even though she hurted him. Ji pyeong had 15 years to search for dalmi and nurture their realtionship post the letter. And then these 3 years when dosan was gone. He had literally so so many chances but he always lost it. Now most of the ji pyeong shipppers reading this may say that he resepcted dalmi’s healing process. I understand that. But once in a while of 3 years he had a chance, he could tell her. And when dosan came after 3 years he immediatelly don’t want to loose chance now lol. He sure has feelings for dalmi but they’re not that strong as dosan. You can give whatever excuse regarding his personality but if I loved someone I knew I could lose the opportunity to love them and live my dream of being loved back I would just shout my feelings for the whole world to hear and not miss the opportunity. Its not like the person you like will come to you direct just bc you had those letter thing when you were young. Most of the HJP stans said that dosan and dalmi don’t have chemistry like man open your eyes and look at them you guyss must have skipped all dodal scene and only focused on HJP. HJP may have been her first love but dosan is the one that took her heart. First love never dies but true love can bury it alive. I think the reason she acts stiff around HJP is bc she still sees him as a mentor & CEO. Even knowing he wrote those letter her feelings didn’t grow for him. In most of the drama there is always this CEO and poor girl storyline and normally the far from perfect one is the second lead. I think writer choosed dosan as main lead bc he is diff. He is extremely flawed & far from perfect,he’s emotional raw which is the reason why most of the HJPstans judge him. I think that is what it makes him special bc he has a room to grow and so does dalmi. They both have their own flaws due to which they grow together. HJP is the ideal lead but there isn’t any growth in his charcater,he is already perfect. I think that’s why most of the people stan him. This show is not abt getting what you deserve but to fight for it and dosan fought for dalmi,but HJP stood in the back until it was too late.
Dalmi was just wondering around had really no goals until she met real dosan who gave her his precious gift written follow your dreams then she mustered up her courage and decided to join sandbox for startup. You guys see HJP helping dalmi many times but have you opened your eyes that its dosan who doing all the things for her. He is not perfect, rich, experienced like JP but he stood by her side helped her reach her goal. HJP is way more older than dosan and dalmi. This show is abt youth romance. How they face heartbreak,truth abt reality and never give up. Dosan will work hard to change dalmi’s dream into reality unlike han ji pyeong who stood in the back and realizes its too late.
This is too all these toxic HJP stans bashing dosan rn only bc he didn’t get the girl. I hope you got why he didn’t.
